The most important consideration in Prenatal Yoga is creating space. Space for Baby to grow and move and space for mums and parents to find some comfort and ease within their expanding body, busy mind and energy field in preparation for stepping into motherhood or parenthood.

In prenatal yoga, we use plenty of supportive props such as bolsters and blankets. Classes are suitable for all trimesters of pregnancy and no previous yoga experience is needed:

  • you do not need to be ‘flexible’ or ‘fit’

  • if you have any movement restrictions from your healthcare provider, please contact us to discuss, as our yoga classes are accessible for all levels of mobility and we should still be able to accommodate you

Prenatal Yoga Programs

Once you have experienced the fundamentals of prenatal yoga through one of our 2hr workshop, or if you have practiced yoga with us before, you’re ready to join one of our comprehensive program pathways.

We offer private prenatal yoga classes in a program format to ensure your individual pregnancy needs are heard and supported.

    Private Prenatal Yoga Classes may be the right fit for you if:

    • you are deeply committed to your matrescence journey and want to do all you possibly can to support your pregnancy, prepare for birth and emerge into your parenthood feeling empowered

    • your life circumstances do not allow you to easily attend group yoga classes

    • you do not feel comfortable in a group class setting

    • you feel that your individual needs may not be fully met in a group class environment

    • you have a high risk pregnancy that requires special medical considerations and restrictions on your movement/exercise choices

    During pregnancy, your baby, your body and your specific needs are constantly changing. Follow up classes are designed to:

    • monitor your progress with initial recommendations

    • adapt to your emerging pregnancy needs

    To gain the most from your private prenatal yoga, we offer our recommended program which includes:

    • Second Trimester - 1 x 90min and 2 x 60min private classes = value $261

    • Third Trimester - 1 x 90min and 2 x 60min private classes = value $261

    • Yoga Nidra for Pregnancy recording = $34 value

    • 5 Elements for Pregnancy and Birth workshop recordings = $100 value

    A private Pregnancy Partner Yoga Class allows us time to get to know you and your unique circumstances more fully and improve the specificity of the class for your needs as a partnership. This goes beyond what is offered in the

    pregnancy partner workshop, or can be a valuable follow-up to integrate and build upon the learnings and deepening relationships as you prepare for birth.

  • Research in 2024 demonstrates that women who receive continuity of care with a midwife are more likely to experience spontaneous vaginal birth, report more positive experiences during pregnancy, labour, and postpartum and enjoy cost savings in the antenatal and intrapartum period.

    We recognise that accessibility of continuity of care can be difficult and this is why we offer this comprehensive package to support you across both the prenatal and postpartum periods - all the way through your first year of parenthood.
